One of the biggest attractions of the harbor is the lighthouse. It was constructed by the Venetians in the sixteenth century, but it was renovated sometime in the 1800s by Egyptian architects. The Minoan Ship Replica
Another interesting attraction in Chania is the Minoan Ship Replica. This is located within the Nautical Museum of Crete and it’s an exact replica of the Minoan ship. As I said before, Chania is home to some of the finest food in the island. One of the most popular restaurants is known as “To Karnagio”. It’s a place where you can get a taste of the delicious traditional Greek food that has been perfected over many years.
The Samaria Gorge
If you’re the outdoors type, you’ll love taking a hike through the Samaria Gorge. This hike will take a bit of stamina, as it’s around 16 km. Although it can be a bit rough, it’s something that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
