The difference between a Safari Park and a Zoo is the fact that while animals in a Zoo are placed in protective cages or enclosures, Safari Parks allow animals to roam freely while visitors can drive through them with their vehicles or in a bus and enjoy interaction with the animals at a closer range. Zoo animals usually live in enclosures that [...]

WeatherIn winter the weather is stable. -1 at night and +10 at noon. The sky is blue and the sun is there. Not many clouds, and when they cover the sun it becomes chilly very quickly. So everybody wears proper wear. It is rather easy to have it a proper way when the weather is chilly almost all [...]

Driving on Canberra Roads In Melbourne there is a saying “Get lost in Melbourne”. I think it literally happens when you are in Canberra. There are so many roundabouts (called “circles” by some Canberrians) that your head starts going round very quickly. GPS does not tire to repeat like a teacher to its students: “Turn left, then turn [...]

Surprise-Surprise! A nice crispy morning. We are landing. Nice change in a landscape – now it is nicely “wavy” – hills, many hills, with trees, no “bold spots” of land. But the colour… all is light brown. Ground is brown, trees are brown. It reminds something very well familiar to me… It gives a strange feeling that [...]
